I have been using our new home gym to do crossfit styled workouts in addition to a 5/3/1 strength training program. I will work out 4 times a week and program my metcons to compliment the strength focus for the day. Mondays will be deadlifts, Tuesday squats, Wednesday I will either have a rest day or focus mostly on technique. Today (Thursday) I did shoulder presses and did a 10 minute metcon of 5/5 toes to bar and push press. Friday,my strength focus will be bench press.I am hoping this continues to be a good programming outline to follow,the weekends I can take a rest day and focus on a weakness, like duration metcons the other day.
