Day 4 dawns and you tentatively step out of bed, expecting to feel like you took a strike from Thor’s hammer in the temple. Instead, your head is surprisingly clear. Your limbs all feel functional. This could be a good day! You walk into the kitchen and as you’re greeted by the smiling face of your significant other you are suddenly overcome…with the desire to punch them in the face for smiling this early in the morning. Congratulations! You’ve made it to day 4. – See more at: http://whole30.com/2013/08/revised-timeline/#sthash.emMwMdiQ.dpuf

I’m doing a bit of a crockpot cook, there’s one thing that has really made crockpot cooking much less of a pain. Crock pot bags, if you haven’t used them go get some at your local store. Here is a link to them on Amazon. So today what I’ve done is put some chicken thighs in with crushed pineapple, a splash of balsomic vinegar and garlic powder.

It should be good we do chicken or pork in the crockpot regularly and sometimes we even put some veggies in there. We’ve found the convenience of frozen bags of veggies really does outweigh the freshness factor. Most the time when we get fresh we have trouble cooking it before it wilts, or its just not what we want that day.
